In 2021, with the financial support of the European Union through Caritas and Credit Suisse APAC Foundation, the Ministry of Labor’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Department and the Partnership Program for the Protection of Children (3PC) coordinated by Friends-International jointly mapped and assessed vocational training and employment service providers across six priority provinces in Cambodia: Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Pailin, Siem Reap, Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville.

This directory is the result of that mapping. It presents the different vocational training and employment services available across the six provinces and highlights their offers and their conditions, including those with strong safeguarding systems in place, those who are open to different genders and those that are accessible for people with disabilities.

The objective of this directory is to better enable personnel (NGOs, Local Authorities, youth leaders, teachers, etc.) working with vulnerable populations to find vocational training and employment options that best matches their client’s needs and refer them to the most appropriate service provider for support.

With the Khmer online version, youth and families themselves will be able to find and access support that will better equip them to generate a sustainable form of income.

In line with the Royal Government of Cambodia National Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Policy 2017-2025, whose goals are to guide the implementation of strategies for skills development and facilitate better coordination among those involved in skills development in Cambodia, the Ministry of Labor’s TVET Department and 3PC anticipate that this directory will allow a greater number of Cambodian youth and vulnerable populations to access and integrate vocational training and employment services, to receive the support services that will enable them to get the jobs they need, and contribute overall to the economic growth of Cambodia

Many thanks to TVET for their full partnership and support, and to the EU, Caritas and Credit Suisse APAC Foundation for making this work possible. Together, we are building futures!
